John Viner one of the famous British typeface designers created the ITC Viner Hand font. In the late 1940s, Viner learned about brush lettering art. At that time he was working for the posters and art producer firm.
He also worked for the other art studio as a designer. Then he decided to design a handwritten font and named it Viner Hand. Then it was firstly published by ITC (International Typeface Corporation). Later Microsoft Corporation owns the copyright for this font in 1996.
