Roboto Font is part of the sans serif font family. It was created by Google specifically for their mobile operating system, Android.
This font was released in 2011 for Android OS Ice Cream Sandwich version 4.0. At first, a typeface designer Christian Robertson designed.

This font was launched officially in 2012. In 2004 a redesigned version of this font was released for Android lollipop. In 2014 a typeface designer Matias Duarte redesigned this font for Android 5.0 Lollipop. You can use it for pairing it with Lato Font.
