Noto Sans Font is a typeface family designed to cover all the sans serifs in the Unicode standard. It was launched on November 4, 2016, under the Apache License 2.0 by Google and Adobe. The name noto comes from the Italian word for “reminder” or “note”.
This font is intended to be visually harmonious across multiple languages, with compatible heights and stroke thicknesses.
The project aims to support all world’s writing systems, including right-to-left sans serifs such as Arabic and Hebrew, as well as symbol sets such as emoji. This typeface is very similar to the droid sans font.
