Cantarell typeface is the category of Sans-serif which was designed by Dave Crossland in his University of Reading as part of his project for the MA Typeface Design. Cantarell font was used for reading web pages on HTC mobile phones.
These are the first mobiles with Google Android with the installation of web browsers having cool web font designs.
These fonts were published on GNU General Publish License version 1.1 on Dave Crossland’s foundry website. This font has become part of the GNOME project.
